Innovation Labo is a cutting-edge microbiome engineering and fermentation intelligence platform based in Japan, producing the biological systems that will shape the longevity economy.

Our scientific lineage in postbiotic production dates back to the 1950s leaded Dr. Mizuho Nasu, whose pioneering research in microbial fermentation laid the foundation for structured metabolite-based innovation. This early expertise evolved into one of the world’s first dedicated postbiotic-focused operations.

Today, Innovation Labo has grown into a modern microbiome innovation platform, integrating applied biochemistry, multi-strain fermentation engineering, and metabolite optimization into scalable commercial systems.

We go beyond developing isolated ingredients—we design biological performance architectures that evolve alongside human health challenges. Recently, we’ve supported partners in reformulating products to address emerging metabolic shifts, such as muscle loss and gut imbalances associated with GLP-1 therapies. This capability is powered by DARWIN BIOME—our vertically integrated platform that spans strain bioprospecting, precision fermentation, metabolite amplification, and clinical transcriptomics validation.

Core capabilities:
- Precision postbiotic production systems grounded in decades of fermentation expertise
- Multi-strain microbiome engineering and metabolite amplification
- Longevity-oriented nutraceutical and functional ingredient platforms
-Bioactive cosmetic systems targeting cellular aging pathways
-Industrial-scale fermentation translation from laboratory modeling

We believe longevity will not be unlocked by isolated compounds, but through intelligently designed microbial ecosystems.

Our proprietary research frameworks decode microbial interaction networks, optimize metabolite expression, and convert biological complexity into defensible commercial differentiation.

More than 20 years of structured R&D. More than 50 years of postbiotic production focus.
