Mike Rees

Mike Rees is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in policy and program management, currently serving as a Senior Associate at Innovation Unit and as a Sole Trader at Yr Esgyn since May 2020. Previously, Mike held the position of Programme Lead for the Children's Social Care Innovation Programme at Greater Manchester Combined Authority from June 2018 to April 2020, and Programme Manager for Live Well and Complex Dependencies at Wigan Council from September 2014 to June 2018. Prior roles include Policy and Strategy Advisor at The Children's Society and Head of Policy at Knowsley MBC. Mike's career began as European Officer at Mid Glamorgan County Council followed by Head of European Affairs at Bridgend College. Mike holds a degree in History from the University of Brighton and attended Aberdare Boys Grammar School.
