William Pate has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. In 2006, they started their own communications consulting business called PATE Industries, where they worked with corporate, nonprofit, and political clients in areas such as marketing, public relations, social media management, and content strategy. William also served as the Policy and Research Director at the Texas Legislative Study Group from 2007 to 2010, where they focused on advancing public policy for Texas families. Additionally, Pate worked as a Campaign Manager for Ray McMurrey's U.S. Senate campaign in Texas. More recently, they worked as a Marketing Specialist at Innovative Computing Systems, Inc., where they managed and created marketing and brand media across various platforms. In 2014, Pate served as a Content Strategist for Somnio Solutions, Inc., working with technology clients and conducting research for projects. William later joined KLA Group as a Content Developer, where they planned and wrote content for clients' lead generation strategies. Alongside these roles, Pate founded and published the San Antonio Review, a nonprofit international literary, arts, and ideas journal.
William Pate's education history includes a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor from St. Edward's University in 2010 and a Master of Arts degree in Rhetoric and Composition from Texas State University in the same year. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree, Summa Cum Laude, in English Writing and Rhetoric and Political Science from St. Edward's University, completing their studies from 2002 to 2006.
