Patrick Moran has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Patrick began their career as an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at North Carolina State University in 1983. Patrick then worked as a Software Engineer at CTi Data Corporation in 1985. From 1986 to 1994, Patrick held positions at Memorex Telex, including Lead Systems Programmer, Program Manager, and Director of Engineering. In 1994, they became the Director of Worldwide Manufacturing at Attachmate, and later served as the Senior Director of Product Management. Patrick then worked as the Vice President of Product Development at RevX.net from 1999 to 2000. In 2000, Patrick retired and took a break from their career until 2007 when they joined Inova Health System as an RN CCU and later as an RN CVICU, ECMO Specialist. In 2016, Patrick started working at Abiomed as a Clinical Consultant, training clinical staff in the use of mechanical circulatory assist devices. That same year, they also started working at Innovative ECMO Concepts Inc. as an ECMO Coordinator, and later became the ECMO Clinical Director. In these roles, Patrick led a team and provided ECMO therapy to both pediatric and adult patients, developed policies and procedures, managed staffing and inventories, and ensured regulatory compliance.

Patrick began their educational journey at North Carolina State University from 1980 to 1983, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
