Michael Buchen

Michael Buchen is an experienced aerospace systems researcher currently working at INO since March 2024. Previously, Michael held the position of Product Development Lead at Bioform Technologies, where the focus was on developing 100% home-compostable plastic replacements through a holistic approach to clean tech solutions. Prior experience includes roles as an R&D Specialist and Application Specialist at Nucléom, where responsibilities encompassed system design for customized non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions and innovation management. Michael also contributed as a researcher at Université Laval, conducting experimental studies in turbulent flow, and worked as a Testing Specialist at igus GmbH. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, along with a professional certificate in Architecture and Systems Engineering from MIT xPRO.
