Mark Hoenerhoff

Mark Hoenerhoff is a seasoned professional in the field of pathology, currently serving as Senior Director of Investigative and Molecular Pathology and Senior Pathologist at Inotiv since January 2023. Mark held positions as Adjunct Clinical Professor and Clinical Professor at the University of Michigan Medical School from February 2014 to the present. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Pathologist at Charles River Laboratories from April 2016 to January 2023, and Head of Investigative Pathology at NIEHS from September 2008 to January 2014, where responsibilities included assessing molecular mechanisms of toxicity and overseeing diagnostic pathology services. Additionally, Mark has an extensive research background, having worked as an Anatomic Pathologist for the American College of Veterinary Pathologists from 2004 to 2012, and as a Research Fellow at the National Cancer Institute from July 2004 to July 2008, focusing on breast cancer mechanisms. Mark holds a PhD in Cancer Biology and Comparative Pathology, a DACVP in Anatomic Veterinary Pathology, a DVM in Veterinary Medicine, and a BS in Veterinary Science, all from Michigan State University.
