Markus Gerdes is an experienced software developer with a robust background in various technologies and software development methodologies. Since October 2015, Markus has been working at inovex GmbH, focusing on Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) using Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and PostgreSQL. Prior to that, Markus spent eight years at 1&1 Internet SE, also as a software developer. Early career experiences include positions at Hermstedt AG, where development involved embedded Linux and C++, and Bosch, where work encompassed location-based services using Java ME and Symbian during both trainee and diplomate roles. Markus holds a diploma in computer science from Hochschule Mittweida, obtained in 2005.
