James Matthews has a comprehensive work experience spanning over the past two decades. Their most recent role was as the Head of Corporate Finance at Inpay, a rapidly growing company in Denmark, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Finance at Arpedio.
Between 2019 and 2021, James worked at Macrobond Financial, initially as the Vice President of Business Development and later as the Head of Performance Management. James was responsible for building strategic planning capabilities, evaluating M&A opportunities, and leading business critical projects. Earlier in their career, James worked at Welltec as the Investor Relations Manager and Group Business Controller. James also briefly served as the Acting US Financial Controller. Prior to that, they held positions at Betfair as the International Finance Manager and Marketing Accountant, as well as at Waterstones as a Planning Analyst, Senior Assistant Divisional Accountant, and Marketing Accountant.

James Matthews completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting & Finance from the University of Leeds, which they earned from 1996 to 1999. James also pursued professional certifications, including becoming an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in January 2005. James obtained the PRINCE2® Foundation certification from APMG-International in April 2011. Additionally, James has completed the CIMA qualification, equivalent to cand.merc.aud, cand.merc.fir., and cand.oecon, from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
