Bill Townsend

Bill Townsend is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as an Executive Council Member at The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia and as a WA Advisory Board Member for Starlight Children's Foundation Australia. Townsend holds board positions with Australian Energy Producers and AREEA - Australian Resources & Energy Employer Association, while also managing senior corporate functions at INPEX since 2006. Townsend's expertise includes overseeing human and industrial relations, corporate affairs, and advancing significant joint ventures, including the US$34 billion Ichthys LNG project. Previous roles include joint venture and commercial management at Woodside Energy and BP, complemented by an MBA in International Business from Dartmouth College and a BA in Political Science from Northwestern University.
