Simon Storey

Simon Storey has over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as a Control Room Operator for the Ichthys LNG project at INPEX Australia since February 2016. Previously, Simon held the roles of Production Shutdown Co-ordinator and ISSOW Permit Issuing Authority at INPEX. Prior experience includes working as a Production Technician at Woodside Energy from 2010 to January 2016, where responsibilities included proactive surveillance and operation of DCS and control systems. Simon also has experience as a Commissioning Technician at APACHE ENERGY LIMITED and a Production Technician at Quantum Scientific Pty Ltd. Early in the career, Simon worked as a Senior Technical Officer for Telstra from 1989 to 2001. Simon holds a Certificate III in Process Plant Operations, Oil and Gas from Challenger Tafe, completed in 2008.
