Rhys Bartels-Waller is an experienced software engineering leader currently serving as the Head of Software Engineering for Lace at Input Output (IOHK). Since June 2018, Rhys has been responsible for managing teams of software and test engineers, delivering high-quality code and engineering outputs while overseeing technical specifications and strategies. Prior experience includes roles as a Software Engineering Lead focusing on Web3 platform development and interim Site Reliability Engineering lead. Rhys has also worked extensively as a full stack developer, systems and process designer, and has held various technical officer positions at Western Sydney University, enhancing digital learning environments. Rhys holds a Bachelor of Design Studies from the University of Western Sydney.
