Philippe Gérard is currently the Directeur de recherche at INRAE, a position held since 2020. Previously, they were a Directeur de recherches and charged de recherche at INRA from 2015 to 2014, overseeing the AMIPEM team focused on nutrition, intestinal microbiota, and neurological and metabolic pathologies. Philippe completed a PhD in Microbiology at Université Henri Poincaré between 1989 and 1999 and held a postdoctoral position at the CEA's Institut de biologie structurale in Grenoble from 2000 to 2001.
