Thomas Schiex

Thomas Schiex is a Senior Scientist in Artificial Intelligence, currently serving as a Research Director at INRAE and a Chair Holder at the ANITI AI cluster. With a background in automated reasoning, constraint programming, graphical models, and computational protein design, they have contributed significantly to the field, including as the lead author of "Computational Protein Design" published in *Nature Reviews Methods Primers*. Previously, Thomas was a Treasurer for the Association for Constraint Programming from 2005 to 2015 and worked as a Research Engineer at the Office National d'Études et de Recherches Aérospatiales from 1991 to 1994. They hold an engineering degree from École Centrale de Paris and a PhD in Computer Science from Université Paul Sabatier (Toulouse III).
