Charles Consel is a Professor of Computer Science at Bordeaux INP since September 2000 and has served as the Head of a research group at INRIA from 2000 to the present. Prior experience includes a position as Visiting Professor at McGill University from 2012 to 2013, Professor of Computer Science at Université de Rennes I from 1993 to 2000, Assistant Professor in Computer Science at Oregon Graduate Institute from 1992 to 1993, and Research Faculty in Computer Science at Yale University from 1989 to 1992. Charles Consel began a career in research as a research assistant at Centre Mondial Informatique from 1985 to 1987. Education was completed at Pierre and Marie Curie University, culminating in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from 1989.
