David Simplot

David Simplot has extensive experience in academia and research management, currently holding multiple key positions at Inria since January 2008, including Professional Education Officer to the CEO, project leader for 3IA Côte d'Azur, and Director of the Inria Sophia Antipolis - Méditerranée research centre. Additionally, David has served as Director and Scientific Deputy at the Inria Lille - Nord Europe research centre and as a scientific advisor to the president. In a previous role at Université Côte d'Azur from January 2018 to October 2019, David was Vice-président Innovation. David’s academic career includes positions as a Full Professor and Associate Professor at Université de Lille from February 1999 to May 2011 and a Junior member of the Institut Universitaire de France from September 2009 to May 2011. Educationally, David earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology and attended IHEST from 2010 to 2011.
