Francois Taiani is a Professor in Distributed Computer Systems at the Université de Rennes (ESIR) and IRISA/INRIA in Brittany, France. Previously, they held a Lectureship at Lancaster University from 2005 to 2012 and served as a Research Assistant at LAAS-CNRS from 2000 to 2004, where they developed the "CosmOpen" reverse-engineering tool suite. They have collaborated with various industrial labs such as Bayer AG, Daimler, and AT&T Labs, and currently lead the WIDE research team, focusing on large-scale distributed computer systems. Francois has also held roles including Director of Teaching at ESIR and Scientific Adviser for the EIT ICT Labs Doctoral Training Center in Rennes.
