Frederic Desprez

Frederic Desprez has extensive experience in computer science, currently serving as the Director of the Inria Centre at University Grenoble Alpes and a Senior Researcher since September 1995. Frederic has been a key member of the Corse research team at Minatec and the LIG Laboratory until 2020. Prior to this, Frederic co-founded SysFera, acting as Co-founder and Scientific Consultant from 2010 to November 2015, focusing on software development and optimization for heterogeneous and distributed computing infrastructures. Additionally, Frederic held leadership positions at the Laboratoire de l'Informatique du Parallélisme and served as Assistant Professor at ENSEIRB and LaBRI. Early career roles include a Postdoc Research Associate at ICL Lab at the University of Tennessee under Jack Dongarra and an Engineer at SMART Ingeniérie. Frederic holds a PhD and HDR in Computer Science from École normale supérieure de Lyon and a Master’s degree from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1.
