Quentin RAPILLY is currently a Doctorant in Bioinformatics at Inria since December 2022, focusing on the development of quantitative analysis methods for 3D time-lapse images of living cells, employing hybrid approaches that integrate deep learning and active contour algorithms. As a Visiting PhD Student at the University of Cambridge from September to November 2023, Quentin contributed to image analysis projects, assisting biologists with image processing. Previous experience includes a research internship at Inria, where Quentin studied hippocampal shape variability and its impact on segmentation quality, and a research and development internship at Safran, enhancing convolutional neural networks for industrial fluid mechanics simulations. Additional roles involved machine learning for social network analysis at DAGConseil and classification tree research at ENSTA Paris. Quentin holds an engineering degree in Computer Science and Machine Learning from ENSTA and has completed preparatory classes at Lycée Malherbe.
