Remi Ronfard

Remi Ronfard is a distinguished expert in computer vision and 3D animation, currently serving as the Scientific Leader of the ANIMA team and Research Director at Inria since 2001. With a career that includes co-founding the IMAGINE team, serving as Associate Professor at École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs, and directing the Image and Geometry Department at Université de Grenoble, Remi has demonstrated leadership in multiple research initiatives. Previous roles include Director of the Virtual Cinematography Research Group at Xtranormal Technology Inc., Technical Consultant at Binocle, and various positions at IBM Research and INA, focusing on content-based video indexing and advanced geometric modeling. Remi holds a PhD in Computer Vision and an MSc in Engineering from Mines Paris - PSL, complemented by a strong foundational education in mathematics.
