Stephane Cotin

Stephane Cotin is a Senior Research Scientist with expertise in biomechanical modeling, real-time simulation, and physics-based modeling, particularly within medical applications. Presently, they serve as a Visiting Fellow at académie de chirurgie and head the MIMESIS team at Inria, where they focus on the simulation of medical procedures for training and planning. Previously, Stephane was a Research Director at Inria and a Research Lead at CIMIT, where they directed several innovative simulation projects. They have international experience from spending eight years in the United States and hold advanced degrees in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics.
