Yang Gao has work experience in multiple companies and roles. They started their career at Volt in 1999, working as a Software Design Engineer II in Test until 2000. After that, they joined Vanteon Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer, participating in the design and implementation of Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2. In 2001, they moved to Microsoft and worked as a Software Design Engineer until 2004. At Microsoft, they were involved in projects related to the Microsoft Forefront Security Team and the Microsoft Business Online Production Suite (Office365) Team. They were a key developer and technical leader for various portals and services. From 2004 to 2009, Yang worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, focusing on the data center team of Windows Azure Active Directory group. They played a key role in developing a large data collecting, mining, monitoring, and alerting system. In 2014, Yang joined INRIX as a Senior Lead Software Engineer. They were responsible for driving the design and implementation of the incident service, user account system, routing and traffic data service, and new features. They also provided technical leadership by reviewing and providing feedback on project designs. They used technologies such as C#, SQL, non-SQL, AWS, and web services. In 2019, Yang was promoted to the role of Software Architect Technical Lead at INRIX, and in 2021, they became a Software Architect and Development Manager.
Yang Gao obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from Maharishi International University from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1993, they pursued another Master's degree in Computer Science from Sichuan University.
