Barath Raghavan has a long and varied work experience. Barath began their career in 2008 as a Security Consultant for Counterpane Systems. In 2009, they worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor for Williams College. In 2010, they returned to the International Computer Science Institute as a Senior Researcher. In 2012, they joined Google as a Software Engineer. From 2013 to 2018, they worked at the International Computer Science Institute as a Senior Staff Researcher, De Novo Group as Vice President/CTO, and Nefeli Networks, Inc. as Head of Engineering. In 2019, they became a Security Consultant for Inrupt, Inc. and in 2020, they co-founded INVISV. Most recently, they are an Associate Professor at the University of Southern California.

Barath Raghavan obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) from the University of California, Berkeley in 2002. Barath then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science from UC San Diego from 2002 to 2006. After that, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from UC San Diego in 2009.
