Alexia Thomas has a long history of work experience in the scientific field. Alexia started their career in 2000 as a Research Tech/Assistant/Associate at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, where they were a colony and lab manager for a basic science research lab and learned to conduct independent research in a model of estrogen deficiency. In 2012, they moved to SRI International as a Postdoctoral Fellow. Most recently, in 2017, they joined Inscopix, Inc. as a Scientific Content Specialist and an Application Support Scientist. In this role, they provided biological and technical scientific support for field sales/support teams and customer labs, drafted and maintained content (written and video) for commercial products, internal resources, and online documentation for customers, and collaborated with multiple departments to facilitate top-level technical support and process flow within the company.
Alexia Thomas began their educational journey at Rice University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology, General between 1996 and 2000. Alexia then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine, which they completed in 2011.
