Craig Obey

Craig Obey is an effective nonprofit executive leader with extensive experience in government relations and team building. Having served as Chief of Government Relations at the American Psychiatric Association from 2018 to 2023, they transformed advocacy efforts and built a nationally recognized Government Relations Division. Previously, Obey held various leadership roles, including Deputy Executive Director at the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors and Senior Vice President of Government Affairs at the National Parks Conservation Association. Currently, Obey is pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies and History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a JD at Georgetown University Law Center.
