Basile Chaix is currently the Research Director in Environmental Epidemiology at Inserm and Sorbonne Université, leading the Nemesis research team. They focus on the health effects of various environmental exposures in urban areas, particularly in the context of climate change, including heat waves, air pollution, noise, and unfavorable urban environments. Basile has also been a post-doctorate researcher at Inserm U707/Lund University since 2025. They obtained their degree from Pierre and Marie Curie University between 2001 and 2004.
