Bassem Hassan

Bassem Hassan is a Team Leader at the Paris Brain Institute, serving as an Inserm Research Director of Exceptional Class. With a Ph.D. in Genetics from The Ohio State University, they have held various prestigious positions, including Scientific Director at the ICM - Brain & Spine Institute and Professor at KU Leuven. Bassem's research focuses on understanding the genomic instructions for brain development and has contributed significantly to both basic biology and the study of human diseases through their investigations into neuronal connections and wiring processes. Currently, they also serve as an Adjunct Professor at Yale School of Medicine.
