Eric Chevet is a Research Director (Senior Principal Scientist) at the French National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM). After earning a Ph.D. in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of Paris in 1996 and completing a post-doctoral fellowship at McGill University, they began their academic career at McGill in 2001 as an Assistant Professor. Returning to France in 2006, Eric has focused on the role of endoplasmic reticulum stress signaling and proteostasis in cancer development. Since early 2015, they have led a Cancer Research Laboratory at the Comprehensive Cancer Centre Eugène Marquis in Rennes, where they investigate stress signaling pathways and work on developing new cancer therapies. Eric has authored over 150 publications and holds several patents.
