Isabelle Chaudieu is a research officer at INSERM, focusing on the role of stress and traumatic life events in the pathogenesis of psychiatric disorders, particularly post-traumatic stress disorder and major depression. Between 2001 and 2012, Isabelle contributed to various studies examining the links between cancer diagnosis, cortisol secretion, and psychiatric disorders. Previously, as a postdoctoral intern in neuropharmacology at both the Centre Recherche Hôpital Douglas in Montreal and INSERM, Isabelle developed a solid foundation in the field. Currently, Isabelle is implementing longitudinal studies to explore the chronicization mechanisms of post-traumatic stress disorder and resilience determinants in both adults and the elderly.
