Violaine Moreau is the current Directrice de recherche at Inserm, a position they have held since 2014 after serving as Chargé de recherche CR1 from 2002 to 2014. Violaine completed their PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Université de Strasbourg from 1992 to 1996, followed by postdoctoral research at EMBL from 1996 to 1999.
