Xavier Declèves is the Director of the Inserm Unit UMRS1144 and a Professor of Pharmacokinetics at Hôpital Cochin in Paris. They received a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences/Pharmacokinetics from the University of Paris Descartes in 2000 and have since specialized in the pharmacology of CNS drugs. Currently, Xavier leads a research team focused on the pathophysiology and therapeutic targets of the blood-brain barrier, contributing extensively to the understanding of drug-metabolizing enzymes and transporters. They are also an author of over one hundred peer-reviewed articles and serve as an Associate Editor for "Fluids and Barriers of the CNS."
