Yaser Hashem is a Group Leader at Inserm, where they have worked since 2018, focusing on protein translation regulation in eukaryotes using cryo-electron microscopy. They previously held a similar role at CNRS from 2014 to 2017, studying the structural differences between mammalian and protozoan translation complexes. Yaser completed their PhD in Computational Structural Biology at the University of Strasbourg, which followed their M.Sc. in Chemistry and Biology from the same institution. They also earned a Habilitation to Direct Research in Structural Biology in 2016. Yaser is recognized as an ERC Consolidator 2022 and ERC StG 2017 Laureate.
