Shelley Mesch is an experienced journalist currently serving as the Inside Defense Air Force reporter for Inside Washington Publishers since February 2022, focusing on Air Force development, procurement, and budget processes. Prior to this role, Mesch worked as an Innovation Lab reporter at The Salt Lake Tribune, where contributions centered on societal issues through solutions journalism. Experience also includes serving as a Business and Technology Reporter at the Wisconsin State Journal, covering Madison-area businesses and technology, along with a Night Reporter role addressing breaking news and local events. Shelley's earlier career highlights include founding member duties at 14 East Magazine, managing reporting initiatives at Radio DePaul, and reporting at WZND Radio. Mesch holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from DePaul University.
