Prior to this role, Macklin was Reviews Editor at Hearst Magazines from November 2019 to January 2024, where responsibilities included overhauling the reviews section of a prominent sports car publication and managing various editorial tasks. Macklin also gained experience as an Associate Editor at Road & Track, and as a freelance car reviewer for major automotive publications while completing studies at The Ohio State University and Northeastern University, where coursework focused on Communication and Journalism. Earlier roles included positions at CNBC as a Breaking News and Auto Writer, as well as public relations management at Motorcars Honda.
