Koen Thijssen

Koen Thijssen has a wealth of experience in the investment banking and internet/e-commerce industries. Starting in 2008, they worked as an Analyst in Investment Banking at Lehman Brothers and Nomura International. In 2010, they moved to Deutsche Bank as an Associate in Investment Banking and an Analyst in Investment Banking (Benelux). In 2012, they became Managing Director of Rocket Internet Benelux, leading the Asian roll-out of Lamudi. In 2014, they took on the role of co-CEO Asia Pacific Internet Group at Rocket Internet. In 2015, they founded and became CFO of Bloomon, a successful start-up disrupting the international flower industry. Most recently, in 2019, they founded and became CEO of Insify.

Koen Thijssen completed a BSc in International Economics and Business from the University of Groningen between 2003 and 2006. Koen then went on to earn a BSc in Economics and Business from Jönköping University in 2005 and 2006. Finally, they obtained an MSc in Accounting and Finance from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2006 and 2007.
