Dan Martin is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in healthcare and analytics. Currently serving as a Data Scientist at Boston Medical Center since April 2019, Dan specializes in creating custom modeling strategies utilizing healthcare claims and EMR data to enhance patient care management. In addition to this role, Dan is a Data Science Technical Advisor at Insight Data Science, mentoring PhD students and guiding their transition from academia to industry. Previously, Dan held the position of Lead Data Scientist at McKinsey & Company, where significant contributions included developing training for clients on people analytics and expanding the People Analytics team. Dan's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Quantitative Psychology from the University of Virginia, where involvement in various research labs led to significant contributions in statistical consulting and software development.
