Éric Bastien

Éric Bastien has a strong background in research partnerships, particularly in the field of social sciences and humanities. Éric has held various roles at the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, including Director of the Research Partnerships Portfolio since December 2018 and Acting Director of the Partnerships Portfolio since May 2011.

Éric Bastien received a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Ottawa in 1998, and a Bachelor's Degree in Geography from the same university in 1997. Éric also obtained a Certificat in Public Administration from the University of Ottawa in 2002. In 2003, Éric started pursuing a Master's Degree in Regional Development at the Université du Québec en Outaouais, but it remains incomplete.
