Sharda Tarachandra

Director, Future Challenges

Sharda Tarachandra is currently the Director of Future Challenges at the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, where they lead the Imagining Canada's Future initiative to address emerging societal challenges through strategic funding opportunities. They previously held positions such as Deputy Chief of Research at the Canadian Security Intelligence Service and Director of Collection Development at the Library of Parliament. Sharda has also served as a librarian at Queens Library and as Manager of Collections at the National Research Council Canada. They are actively pursuing multiple degrees, including a Master of Library & Information Science at Western University and a Master of Arts in Modern International Studies at the University of Leeds.
