Insight Regulatory LLP was set up by Lesley Kumar and Palvinder Gill.

Insight is an independent consultancy with real regulatory and industry experience, providing compliance, risk and prudential regulatory advisory services to banks, investment firms and other regulated institutions.  Insight’s aim is to assist clients in developing practical, bespoke solutions to their regulatory challenges, which are geared towards the long-term interests and integrity of the client, and are robust enough to withstand regulatory scrutiny. 

Lesley is a senior compliance professional with over 25 years experience, the last 17 of which were at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML).  Lesley left BAML in March 2016 after 5 year as EMEA Head of Compliance which included responsibility for the full spectrum of wholesale investment banking products, the compliance functions throughout EMEA, Latin America and Canada and holding the prescribed responsibilities for Global Financial Crime Compliance.  Lesley can help clients with: governance, compliance and conduct issues such as: compliance and conduct risk frameworks and strategies; managing regulatory changes; SMCR issues; and regulatory coaching.  Lesley is also on the board of ADS Securities London Limited (the UK subsidiary of Abu Dhabi headquartered ADSS Group) as an independent non-executive director.

Pal is a regulatory consultant with over 20 years of experience in the field of financial services regulation and risk management, including time as a policy maker at the Bank of England and Financial Services Authority; a regulatory consultant at Ernst & Young; and in-house regulatory capital adviser at Credit Suisse, Macquarie Group, Morgan Stanley, Nomura and Wells Fargo. Pal can assist clients on a broad range of areas including: prudential capital advisory; ICAAPs; ILAAPs; Recovery Plans; and Wind Down Plans.
