Rex Sham began their career in 2006 as a Programming Intern at Assembleon. In 2008, they became the Founder and Director of Hong Kong Robotics Company Ltd. Rex then founded and became the Chief Science Officer of Insight Robotics Ltd in 2009, while also taking on the role of Founder and Director of EduTechnic Ltd.
Rex Sham obtained a BSc in Computer Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong between 2003 and 2008. Rex also attended Queen's College, Hong Kong from 1997 to 2003. In October 2006, they obtained a Professional Diploma in Digital Photography and Image Editing from UniSoft Education Centre.
