Micah Cearns serves as the Head of Artificial Intelligence at Insight Timer since February 2021, leading the design and deployment of AI systems and working closely with an international executive team to enhance user experience. Prior to this, Micah held the position of Lead Research & Data Scientist, collaborating with prominent industry members to shape strategic direction and innovation for a diverse user base. Micah founded Soma Labs in 2024, focusing on artificial intelligence. Academic contributions include a Research Fellowship in Machine Learning at the University of Melbourne, where predictive models for patient responses were developed, and a role as a Data Scientist at The NeuroTech Institute, contributing to projects in human-machine interaction. Micah’s extensive experience is supported by advanced degrees, including a PhD in Medicine (Psychiatry) and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours).
