Patrick Orlando

Patrick Orlando began their work experience as a Crew Trainer at McDonald's Australia Limited in 2008. Patrick demonstrated the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and gained experience in various operational areas. In 2012, Patrick worked as a Pharmacy Assistant at Heathershaw's Central Park Pharmacy, providing high-level customer service and responsible service of medicines. In 2016, they joined Telstra as a Graduate Platform Engineer, where they constructed platforms for multiple Enterprise products and integrated vendor products into existing infrastructure. Patrick then joined REA Group in 2017, initially working as a Data Scientist and Engineer, developing and deploying predictive models and leading a team. Patrick later became a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, redesigning and re-platforming automated property valuation models for the HomeTrack subsidiary and designing the REA ML Platform. Since 2021, Patrick has been working as the Lead Data Scientist at Insight Timer.

Patrick Orlando obtained a Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Applied Mathematics/Physics from Monash University, where they studied from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed high school at De La Salle College from 2006 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Patrick also obtained certifications in "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" and "Machine Learning" from Coursera Course Certificates in August 2016 and March 2016, respectively.
