𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗽,  founded by an IIT Delhi alumnus, was born from a simple observation: many important decisions about people’s lives are made far away from the communities they affect.

Governments design policies, organizations launch programs, and companies introduce products, but the voices and lived experiences of people on the ground are often filtered, fragmented, or missing altogether.

Insight Troop was created to bridge that gap.

We are a research and impact assessment organization that helps businesses, development agencies, and non-profits understand people, markets, and communities through rigorous research and grounded field insights. Our work combines strong research design with locally rooted field partnerships across India, allowing us to access communities, perspectives, and cultural contexts that are often difficult for conventional research teams to reach.

At the heart of Insight Troop is the belief that good decisions require more than data, they require understanding.

We conduct qualitative and quantitative research, monitoring and evaluation studies, and strategic research assignments that help organizations design better products, strengthen programs, and make informed policy and investment decisions.

Our approach also aims to strengthen the ecosystem around research. We collaborate with grassroots organizations, training them in structured data collection and engaging them as field partners in research projects. This not only improves the depth and authenticity of insights but also creates opportunities for local organizations to participate in knowledge generation and evidence-building.

In a complex and diverse country like India, understanding people is never simple. But when research is thoughtful, locally informed, and ethically grounded, it can illuminate realities that numbers alone cannot capture.
