Robert K. Zisel

MD, Investigations at INSITE SECURITY INC

As Managing Director of the Investigations practice, Mr. Zisel designs and manages holistic security and investigative programs for Insite’s clients. Under his supervision are the firm’s spectrum of employment, civil and criminal investigations. He also oversees threat investigations and investigative matters involving employee misconduct and malfeasance.

Mr. Zisel spent the first part of his career with the NYPD where as a Detective and Detective Supervisor, he specialized in investigations tied to large, international criminal organizations. Mr. Zisel also served as a Squad Commander for the FBI/NYPD Joint Terrorism Task Force where he supervised both domestic and international terrorism investigations.

Among other honors, he was awarded the prestigious NYPD Medal for Valor given to officers who exhibit outstanding personal bravery, and he earned the National Intelligence Community Award presented by the Director of National Intelligence for his investigations of plots to bomb Times Square and JFK Airport.

Mr. Zisel is a member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and is an ASIS Professional Certified Investigator. Mr. Zisel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY.
