Zack Phillips

Zack Phillips is a highly skilled professional in the fields of computational microscopy and optical engineering, currently serving as Senior Manager of Computational Microscopy at insitro since November 2021. Prior experience includes multiple roles such as Staff Automation Engineer and Senior ML Scientist at insitro, and co-founder and technical architect of SCI Microscopy, a start-up focused on advanced optical microscopy technologies. Previous positions also include Optical Engineer at Apple, where Zack led an exploratory optical sensing project, Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, where research centered on computational imaging techniques, and Associate in Research at Duke University, working on a high-resolution camera project. Zack holds a PhD in Applied Science and Technology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS with Highest Honors in Applied Science and Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
