Markus Schlagbauer

Markus Schlagbauer has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. Markus is currently the Head of R&D and Automation at Insort GmbH since October 2022. Prior to this, they served as the CEO of renewgery starting from October 2020. Additionally, Markus worked as a Part-time Lecturer at BBRZ Reha GmbH from June 2021 to January 2022.

Markus spent a significant part of their career at Anton Paar GmbH, where they held multiple roles. Markus was a Project Manager from April 2017 to November 2021, an Area Manager for Platform Development from October 2011 to March 2017, and briefly served as the R&D Department Manager from June 2011 to October 2011.

Before joining Anton Paar GmbH, Markus was the Development Manager and Product Manager at SSI SCHÄFER. In this position, they successfully established a new development department and grew the team from 5 to 13 members.

Markus also gained experience in the field of Functional and System Development at Philips Domestic Appliances from January 2006 to July 2007. Prior to that, they worked in Strahlenschutz at Forschungszentrum Jülich for a brief period from November 2005 to December 2005.

Overall, Markus Schlagbauer possesses a well-rounded background in research and development, project management, and leadership roles in various organizations.

Markus Schlagbauer completed their education at the Technische Universität Graz from 1998 to 2006 and obtained a Ph.D. in Physics. In 2000-2001, they also participated in an Erasmus semester at the Universidade de Aveiro, studying Physics. In addition to their academic achievements, they obtained certifications in "Elektrotechnische Sicherheitsvorschriften als Befähigung für das Elektrotechnik Gewerbe" from WIFI Steiermark in February 2022 and "Ausbildung-Trainer" from WIFI Steiermark in April 2008.
