Marcus Watson

Marcus Watson's work experience includes various roles and positions in different organizations. Marcus started their career as a Consultant at FINCA International in 2012. Marcus then worked as a Manager at IFC - International Finance Corporation from April 2012 to December 2012.

In 2013, Marcus joined Dalberg as a Partner, where they stayed until December 2019. During their time at Dalberg, they held a leadership position and contributed to the company's success.

In 2017, Marcus became a member of the Steering Committee for East Africa at Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE). Marcus served on the committee from December 2017 to September 2020.

From 2018 onwards, Marcus took on several Non-Executive Director roles. Marcus served as a Non-Executive Director at TakaTaka Solutions from June 2018. Marcus also joined Optimizer Foundation as a Senior Advisor in February 2018. In 2020, Marcus became a Non-Executive Director at InspiraFarms.

In 2021, Marcus continued their Non-Executive Director roles by joining Lending for Education in Africa Partnership (LEAP) in October 2021 and Sistema Biobolsa/Sistema.bio in December 2021.

Most recently, Marcus Watson became a Partner at KawiSafi Ventures in December 2019. Marcus is currently in this role, overseeing partnerships and contributing to the growth and development of the company.

Marcus Watson has a Bachelor's degree in English and Philosophy from Trinity College Dublin. Marcus also has a degree in Law, specifically a CPE/LPC, from The University of Law. In addition, Marcus holds a Master's degree from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where they specialized in International Economics, Finance, and Development.
