Stephen Platten

Stephen Platten is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in testing and quality assurance across various industries. Currently serving as Principal Consultant at Inspired Testing since April 2024, Stephen focuses on enhancing clients' test maturity and practices. Prior experience includes QA Chapter Lead at Admiral Group Plc, where responsibilities encompassed quality delivery and process improvement within Agile and SAFe frameworks. Stephen also held the position of Test Delivery Manager at Yorkshire Water, overseeing testing operations, and previously worked as a System Test Engineer at QinetiQ, managing technical innovation and trials on the Typhoon platform. Stephen's career began in the Royal Air Force, working as an Avionics Technician/Engineer on advanced military platforms. Educational qualifications include a Certificate of Higher Education and Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Hull and Hull College, respectively, along with a Diploma in Solutions Development from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
