Jouni Mäkelä

Jouni Mäkelä is a seasoned design engineer with extensive experience in automation projects, particularly in the pulp and paper industries. Since March 2011, Jouni has been with Insta Automation Oy, contributing to design and engineering efforts. Previous roles included engineering specialist at Honeywell Process Solutions, where Jouni focused on design, programming, and commissioning of automation systems. Earlier positions at Honeywell included service engineer, lead engineer, and control engineer, with responsibilities spanning from initiating service operations at a paper mill to developing advanced control tools and systems. Jouni holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Technology and Process Control from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan and has a background in research related to real-time identification of filtrate models.
