Yang Zhang

Yang Zhang is currently the Trust & Safety Team Lead for Food Safety at Instacart, having held various roles within the company since 2022. Previously, Yang worked as a Customer Success and Compliance Lead at Bayer Crop Science and served as a Research Assistant at the FDA. Yang gained valuable experience as a Research Intern at the Institute for Food Safety and Health and was also a Senior R&D Specialist at Now Foods, where they developed amino acid supplements and formulated nutritional beverages. Yang holds a Master's degree in Food Safety and Technology from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Food Quality and Safety from China Jiliang University.
