Daniel Tapia Martínez

Research Engineer at InstaDeep

Daniel Tapia Martínez started their work experience in 2017 as a Machine Learning Research Intern at the IPTC - Information Processing and Telecommunication Center. Daniel focused on applying Deep Learning models to improve signal processing problems and worked on a project that eventually became their master thesis. This project involved utilizing Deep Reinforcement Learning to train a UAV to navigate while avoiding obstacles. Their work at IPTC resulted in a publication at the European Signal Processing Conference EUSIPCO. Daniel then joined InstaDeep Ltd in December 2019 as a Research Engineer.

Daniel Tapia Martínez completed a Master's degree in Signal Processing and Machine Learning from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 2018 to 2019. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Telecommunication Technologies and Services Engineering from the same institution from 2012 to 2017.
